Clairfield advises the Fasolini family on the sale of Vip Air Empowerment Srl to Multi-Wing Group A/S
Vip Air Empowerment, a leading Italian manufacturer of axial fan solutions, was sold to Multi-Wing Group A/S, an Altor Equity Partners-backed manufacturer of impellers and axial flow fans for HVAC/R and engine cooling applications.
VIP Air Empowerment, founded in 1985 by the Fasolini family, has established a strong position in the Italian HVAC and axial fan market thanks to constant investments in new technologies and innovative solutions.
Founded in 1938, Multi-Wing is a global market and technology leader in custom-engineered impellers and axial flow fans for HVAC/R and engine cooling applications, with 2022 revenues of EUR 140 million. Headquartered in Denmark, Multi-Wing has a global presence with manufacturing and distribution facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. In 2021, Swedish private equity Altor Equity Partners acquired a majority stake in Multi-Wing Group to support the vision of developing Multi-Wing into a world-leading fan solutions provider and technology winner for both HVAC and engine cooling applications.
The transaction underscores Multi-Wing’s commitment to crafting high-performance axial fan solutions. These innovative solutions are aimed at addressing the airflow shaping requirements of global industry-leading customers. Vip Air Empowerment will play a pivotal role in Multi-Wing’s transition to fan solutions. As part of the deal, the Fasolini family will remain actively engaged with the company, further bolstering the growth trajectory that was initiated in recent years.
